Materials

Which material a product gets printed in depends on what the part actually needs to do. The materials below are engineering-grade filaments, the same class of material used in industrial and automotive applications, chosen to match how the original part performs, not just how it looks.

 

ASA

An amorphous, UV-stabilized styrenic — chemically close to ABS but formulated to resist UV and weather cycling without chalking or losing strength. 

Heat deflection sits around 95–100°C (203-212°F), in the same range as the OEM ASA/ABS blends used for exterior trim, mirror housings, and grilles, as well as interior trim and dash components. 

TPU

A thermoplastic elastomer, printed here around 90–95A on the Shore hardness scale — the same range as the polyurethane compounds used in aftermarket performance bushings, and close to OEM rubber in boots, grommets, and vibration isolators. Flexes and compresses like rubber, with better fuel/oil resistance than natural rubber, though it's a polymer rather than a vulcanized compound.

PET-CF

A blend of tough PET and carbon fiber. PET-CF has excellent high temperature resistance and a soft glow appearance. Its excellent strength, heat resistance, dimensional stability and low moisture absorption make it an ideal choice for load-bearing structures or prints used in high temperature and humid environments.
